Meet Kathryn
Internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Kathryn Krasovec is pleased to join the Voice Faculty at Chapman University beginning in the Fall of 2026. She will teach a studio of private students pursuing both Vocal Performance and Music Education degrees, and she will teach course called From the Page to the Stage, which gives students the framework and tools to prepare an operatic role from start to finish in addition to exploring audition techniques and practices.
In addition to her work at the university, she will maintain her private voice studio and continue her work as a Visual and Performing Arts Vocal Coach at Portola High School and at Woodbridge High School.
Kathryn looks forward to inspiring, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of singers, educators, and artists as they discover their voices, passions and purpose.

From the Page to the Stage

Mezzo-soprano Kathryn Krasovec will teach the course From The page to The Stage in her first semester as faculty at Chapman University. Having spent decades performing both in the US and abroad, on both Fest and Guest contracts in Germany and the Czech Republic, she offers both academic study and lived experience when it comes to the preparation, rehearsal, etiquette and performance of an operatic role.
Students will spend the semester working on audition presentation, role preparation strategies, rehearsal techniques, character development, score study, and career development. They will have the opportunity to learn by doing as they bring scenes and roles to life with both the guidance and encouragement of Professor Krasovec.
